George II (1727-1760), 'Roses' Shillings (2), 1743, old laureate, draped and cuirassed bust left, rev. four crowned shields cruciform, roses in angles, eight strings to harp, six hearts, obliquely milled edge, 6.00g, 6h (Bull 1720; ESC 1203; S.3702), some haymarking and touch of rub to hair, otherwise with a rich cabinet tone, very fine; another, 1747, as before, GEORGIVS in legend, seven strings to harp, edge obliquely milled, 6.01g, 6h (ESC 1209; Bull 1728; S.3702), some flecking and touch of softness to hair, otherwise toned, very fine (2)
