(m.m.) • CHRISTO • AVSPICE • REGNO • oval garnished shield, 6.09g [93.98grns], 9h, m.m. bell (Brooker 486-8; North 2225; S.2791), well-toned, a bolder fine; another, 1635-1636, similar, 5.47g [84.42grns], 7h, m.m. crown (Brooker 498-499; North 2225; S.2791), richer cabinet tone with underlying lustre, a touch of doubling to legends, otherwise very fine; lastly, Welsh 'Plumes' Issue, 1635-1636, Type 3b, (m.m.) as before, rev. oval garnished shield, surmounted by plume, 5.82g [89.82grns], 2h, m.m. crown (Brooker 497; North 2226; S.2793), on a shorter, irregular planchet, otherwise lightly toned and lustrous, very fine (3)
