TVAM : SALVA : NOS : XPE : REDE, double saltire stops., final E inverted, shield on ship, E (Lombardic) and rose beside mast, 5.044g [77.84grns], 2h, m.m. ostrich head (Ruding VIII, 4; Ryan 256 = Roth I, 259 = Montagu [1888], 193 = Addington this coin; Evans 2496; Lockett 1881; Schneider II, 702-703; North 1931; S.2448), an inconsequential flan split at 10 o'clock and moderate wear to Archangel's visage, the reverse a trace off-struck, otherwise on a full round flan, with specks of red wax in shield and darker ochre toning to recesses, a really bold fine to almost very fine, very rare, in NGC Black 'Carrington' holder, graded VF35 (Cert. #8534361-008)
