ANGL Z FR | A', trefoil stops, St. Michael vanquishing Dragon, ropes 2/1; quatrefoils 3/3, rev. + O : | CRVX . AVE . SPES : V . nICA, double trefoil stops, ship surmounted by square-topped shield and mast dividing h and small lys, 2.530g [39.04grns], 9h, m.m. none/cross pattée (Schneider I, 444 same dies; North 1615; S.2080), tiny excavation scurss and a subtle wave to a surprisingly full round planchet, a most pleasing and wholesome very fine, bolder still to the buffeting waves, a sensational example of this excessively rare fractional issue with a direct link to the victorious Yorkist forces, in NGC Black 'Carrington' holder, graded Almost Uncirculated (Cert. #8534362-003)
