(x) NGC AU58 | Henry V (1413-1422), Noble, Class C, Tower (London), h | EnRIC x' DI x' GRA x' REX x AnGL x' S x' FRAnC x' DnS x hyB, single saltire, King standing in ship, holding sword and shield, mullet by sword, ropes 3/2, ornaments 11-11, quatrefoils 3/3, and quatrefoil above sail, rev. + IhC x' AVTEM : TRANSIENS : PER : MEDIV x' ILLORV x' IBAT, single and double saltire stops, floriate cross, trefoils and crowned leopards in angles, large h at centre, additional quatrefoil in second quarter, 6.980g [107.70grns], 9h, i.m. cross pattée (Brooke IVa/IV; Schneider I, 227; North 1371; S.1742), some peripheral striking softness, nonetheless a truly splendid coin with a magnificent portrait of this celebrated "Agincourt King", lightly toned and lustrous, extremely fine, a superb connoisseur's piece with an exemplary pedigree, in NGC Black 'Carrington' holder, graded AU58 (Cert. #8534369-008)
