(x) NGC PF66 | William IV (1830-1837), Proof Halfcrown, 1831, by William Wyon and Jean-Baptiste Merlen, bare head right, block WW on truncation, rev. coin alignment, quartered Shield of Arms with a crowned escutcheon of the Arms of Hanover, all within Order of the Garter upon crowned mantle, seven strings to harp, ANNO - 1831 below, edge plain, 13.717g, 7h (Stratos 227; ESC 658; Bull 2477; S.3834A), a beauteous gem, the outstanding cabinet tone fully accentuating the perfectly mint-frosted portrait, choice FDC and as fresh as the day Wyon removed it from the die!, in NGC Black 'Pallas' holder, highly conservatively graded PROOF 66 (Cert. #8534312-005)
