(g) NGC PF63 UCAM | William IV (1830-1837), "Lightweight" Pattern Proof Two-Pounds, 1831, by W Wyon and Merlen, bare head right, rev. crowned shield in mantle, edge plain, 14.775g [228.01grns], 6h (W&R 258; Murdoch III, 438; King 206; Stratos 172; Marsh T20; EGC 1016; S.3828), struck on a curiously thin planchet; an overt metal flaw to drapery of mantle and an unfortunate rim bruise at 1 o'clock, with wisps in otherwise brilliant fields; otherwise possessing an attractive and natural overlying cabinet tone, traces of red wax on reverse shield, a most pleasingly bold and honest extremely fine, in NGC Black 'Pallas' holder, generously graded PF63 ULTRA CAMEO (Cert. #8534315-002)
