NGC PF60 | Victoria (1837-1901), Pattern Proof 'Gothic' Crown, MDCCCXLVII [1847] UNDECIMO, by William Wyon and William Dyce, crowned 'Gothic' bust left, W.W. below truncation, rev. crowned shields cruciform, national emblems in angles, downwards lettered edge, 28.28g*, 6h (ESC 2571; Bull 288; S.3883), lightly wiped but peripherally retoned, with residual lustre in recesses, an imperiously bold and uniform technical striking of this vaunted Wyon masterpiece with a reported mintage of only 8,000 pieces, a covetable extremely fine, in NGC holder, graded PF60 (Cert. #6321113-001)
