(g) NGC MS63 | Victoria (1837-1901), 'Shieldback' Sovereign, 1864 [Die 49], 'Stub-top 4', Type IB, second young head left, W.W. incuse on truncation, rev. crowned normal shield in wreath, edge milled, 7.985g, 5h (MCE 525; Bentley 1038; Marsh 49; S.3853), usual die flaw through 4 of date, otherwise attractively choice with playful cartwheel lustre accentuated by peripheral orange hues, a pleasingly good extremely fine, in NGC holder, graded MS63 (Cert. #8534334-003)
