(x) NGC AU | Anne (1702-1714), Post-Union, Five-Guineas, 1709 OCTAVO, first diademed and draped bust left, rev. crowned broader shields cruciform, emblem-adorned sceptres in angles, six strings to harp, raised letters + • DECVS • ET • TVTAMEN • • ANNO • REGNI • OCTAVO • upwards on edge, 41.735g [644.07grns], 6h (King 146; MCE 201; EGC I, 450; GH 70; S.3567), the fields smoothed where formerly graffitied on obverse, and with a small bruise to obverse 3 o'clock, otherwise with much natural lustre and an honest uniform strike, a bolder very fine / extremely fine but with some unfortunate dragmarks across French shield, in NGC Black 'Pallas' holder, graded Almost Uncirculated (Cert. #8534311-016)
