ET • HIB '• REGINA • (m.m.) • Queen seated on ornamented throne, adorned with fine lattice work enclosing pellets, pillars decorated with annulets and colon stops, holding orb and sceptre, portcullis with chains below, breaking ornate tressure, rev. (m.m.) A • DNO '• FACTV •' EST • ISTVD • ET • EST • MIRAB'.IN.OCVLIS.NRS, Royal arms in centre of full-blown Tudor Rose, 15.345g [236.81grns], 8h, m.m. escallop [over A on reverse] (Brown & Comber A14; Holloway 10-6A; Schneider I, -/cf. 778; North 2003; S.2529), a test mark between R and A of FRA, and subtly crimped with resulting softness to visage, otherwise with residual lustre and scattered honey golden toning, almost very fine, the reverse die struck from the same as the last, albeit in the altered state, in NGC Black 'Pallas' Holder, graded Almost Uncirculated (Cert. #8534311-003)
