FRA'· ET HIBE'· REGINA :· Queen seated on ornamented throne, adorned with fine lattice work enclosing pellets, pillars decorated with five larger pellets, holding orb and sceptre, portcullis with chains below, breaking ornate tressure, rev. (m.m.) A ·. DNO'. FACTV.' EST · ISTV.' ET · EST .· MIRA'· IN : OCVL'· NRIS, ET over Z, Royal arms in centre of full-blown Tudor Rose, spandrels plain, 14.970g [231.02grns], 6h, m.m. cross crosslet [over lys on reverse] (Dudman 70 same dies; Raynes 115 same dies; Lockett 1949 = Hird I, 29 = AHH Virtual 64, same dies; Brown & Comber A4; Holloway 04-03A [10 Known]; Schneider I, 730 same dies; North 1978; S.2512), a striking crack through N of REGINA running parallel down the outer left pillar and subsequently lightly filled at rim, otherwise subtly crimped across honey-golden original fields, the centres bolder than fine, the peripheries very fine, a prized rarity with only ten recorded specimens, in NGC Black 'Pallas' holder, graded Very Fine (Cert. #8534311-001)
