NGC MS63 | Henry VII (1485-1509), Angel, 1504-1505, Tower, (m.m.) hENRIC ': DI ': GRA .' REX : AnGL ': Z ' FR .', large crook-shaped abbreviation after hENRIC, saltire stops, St. Michael vanquishing Dragon, rev. (m.m.) PER : CRVCE ': TVA ': SALVA ': nOS : XPE : RED, ship surmounted by square-topped shield and mast dividing h and rose, double saltire stops, 5.12g [79.01grns], m.m. pheon, (Schneider I, 542; North 1698; S.2187), lightly crimped, softly struck in parts, reverse better, very fine or better, in NGC holder, graded MS63 (Cert. #8222399-007)

Provenance

By private treaty - £1400 [with ticket]

(confusingly, this ticket conflates two coins, it mentions an Angel (S.2299) bought in August 1977 of Henry VIII, but then lists a purchase price of £1,400, the mint mark pheon, and the condition 'superb', 'EF+'. The cataloguer believes it relates to this coin, but includes incorrect identification of the coin and monarch. The mint mark and condition relate to this coin. The ticket came with a Spink envelope; however, it is not clear whether the green ticket is a Spink one or not.)
