(g) NGC MS61 | Victoria (1837-1901), 'Shieldback' Sovereign, 1838, first young head left, with two plain fillets, raised W.W. on truncation, rev. 'normal' shield in wreath, edge milled, 7.99g, 6h (Bentley 36; Marsh 22; S.3852), wispy hairlines to obverse, nonetheless with a glossy and full mint bloom, extremely fine, the sought-after first year of issue, rare thus, in NGC holder, graded MS61 (Cert. #8222331-003)
