George I (1714-1727), 'Roses and Plumes' Halfcrown, 1717 TIRTIO, laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right, rev. four crowned shields cruciform, roses and plumes in angles, eight strings to harp, edge lettered upwards, reading DECVS ET TVTAMEN, 14.92g, 6h (ESC 587; Bull 1550; S.3642), adjustment marked and rubbed to face, small marking before mouth, nonetheless the obverse vibrantly toned and with lustre, bold very fine
