Charles II (1660-1685), Guinea, 1674, fourth laureate head right, rev. no stop after HIB, crowned shields cruciform, emblem-adorned sceptres in angles, five strings to harp, edge obliquely milled, 8.300g, 7h (MCE 70; Farey 150 [VR]; EGC 247 [R3]; S.3344), surfaces lightly brushed with resultant hairlines, otherwise residually lustrous, almost very fine, a surprisingly rare date, much like contemporary and oft-vaunted Silver specie of the second Carolean period
