(x) NGC AU55 | Charles I (1625-1649), Group 1, Type 1a, Crown, 1625-1626, Tower (under King), (m.m.) : • CAROLVS : D : G : MAG : BRIT : FRA : ET : HIB : REX : first horseman left, ornately decorated caparison, sword over right shoulder breaking inner circle, plume on headdress and on housing, rev. CHRISTO • AVSPICE • REGNO • (m.m.), square-topped and garnished shield over long cross fourchée, 29.76g [459.27grns], 6h, m.m. lys (Francis 1A; FRC I/I; Brooker 229; North 2190; S.2753), a uniform and pleasing strike, with a rich cabinet blue tone, near extremely fine albeit for softness to Horse's visage, nonetheless an imposing cabinet specimen of this 'Coronation' Crown with a fine pedigree, in NGC holder, graded AU55 (Cert. #8222328-001)

Further investigation by this cataloguer tentatively suggests the otherwise unknown "Baronet" was a client of well-known dealer and Spink numismatic forebear Matthew Young; creating his cabinet during the 1820s and 1830s.
