CIVITAS EBORACI, square-topped shield over long cross fourchée, 3.12g [48.12grns], 8h, m.m. pierced mullet (North 1939; S.2484), a couple of small flan splits at edge, otherwise deeply toned, impressively struck to crown and drapery, good very fine, rare in this condition
