Edward VI (1547-1553), First Period, Groat, 1547-1549, Tower, EDWARD: 6: D.' G.' AGL.' FR.' Z: HI.' REX, crowned bust right, rev. POSVI DEV.'AD IVTOR E.' MEV.', shield over long cross fourchée, 2.04g [31.48grns], 11h, m.m. arrow (Stewartby, p. 526; North 1897; S.2454), hairline flaw to obverse, some trace porosity as typical for the issue, otherwise wholesome and bold, with deep blue toning about the legends, very fine, very rare, especially this presentable!
