(x) Government of Cyprus, £1, 1st June 1955, serial number A/5 017445,
this banknote exhibits a combination of brown, yellow and pink, whilst including English, Greek and Turkish text. On the right of the obverse, an oval image of Queen Elizabeth the II is showcased. Given the date of this note and this image, we can conclude that this note was issued whilst Cyprus was under the British colonial rule, which spanned between the 19th and 21st century. A map of Cyprus in also featured on the obverse of this note. On the reverse, two lions are presented, as well as the £1 denomination, both within circular designs,
