Medieval North India, Shahi Kings, Spalapati Deva (c.750-900), Jitals (9), Bull seated right, Devanagari (Sarada) legend above, Sri Spalapati Deva, rev. horseman riding right, cursive legend right, various letters and symbols either side of head of horseman; Vakka Deva (c.800-1000), AE Jitals (2), elephant left, 'Sri Vakka Deva above, rev. lion right, letter between feet; Khudarayaka (870-75), Jitals (2) similar to those of Spalapati, but 'Sri Khudarayakah' above bull, Arabic 'adl behind head of horseman on one coin; Samanta Deva (c.850-1000), Jitals (5), similar to those of Spalapati, but legend Sri Samanta Deva above bull, AE Jitals (4), similar to those of Sri Vakka, but legend Sri Samanta Deva above elephant (Tye 3..1, 3.2, 4.1, 5, 6, 7.4, 9.4, 9.6, 14.1, 14.2, 15.1, 16.1, 19, 22, 23), an interesting selection, chosen for their clear designs, fine to very fine (22)
