India, Post-Gupta, Kalachuris of Mahishmati, Krishnaraja (550-75), Drachms (4), bust of king right, derived from that found on Gupta Drachms, rev. humped bull seated right, with Brahmi legend around parama-mahesvara matapitr padanudhyata sri krishnaraja; AE Units (20), bull seated left, some with umbrella above, rev. Brahmi legend around sri krishnaraja (16), with same legend but obv. deity on lotus (3), open lotus (1) (Pieper, Ancient Indian Coins Revisited, 917 - 921; MAC 5082-91), the Drachms very fine with clear legends, rare in this condition, the AE Units about fine to very fine, above average for type (24)
