Caecilius Metellus Pius, struck c. 81 BC, diademed head of Pietas right, stork before, rev. jug and lituus, IMPER in exergue, all within laurel border, 3.93g (Crawford 374/2; Sydenham 751; RBW 1397), dark tone, very fine; ii) M. Volteius M. f., struck 78 BC, laureated, draped and helmeted bust of Attis right, owl standing right behind, rev. Cybele, wearing turreted crown and veil, holding reins and patera, driving biga of lions right, KA above, M VOLTEI M F in exergue, 4.35g (Crawford 385/4), very fine; iii) Q. Sicinius and C. Coponius, Military mint in the East, moving with Pompey, diademed head of Apollo right, star below, rev. club of Hercules surmounted by lion skin and scalp, arrow to left, bow to right, 4.15g (Crawford 444/1a; Sydenham 939; RBW 1558), test cut to obverse, smoothing to inscriptions, otherwise very fine; (3).
