Roman Republic, a Trio of Denarii (3): i) C. Poblicius Malleolus, struck 91 BC, head of Mars right, wearing helmet with hammer above, * before chin, rev. C, MAL, naked warrior standing left, holding spear and placing right foot on cuirass, trophy to left field, prow to right, 3.86g (Crawford 335/3b), good fine or thereabouts; ii) C. Malleolus, A. Albinus Sp.f., and L. Caecilius Metellus, struck 96 BC, A ALB S F L METEL, laureate head of Apollo right, * below neck, rev. C. MALL, Roma seated left upon pile of shields, holding spear and parazonium, being crowned by Victory to right, standing left, ROMA in exergue, 3.99g (Crawford 335/1b; Sydenham 611a), struck slgihtly off-centre to reverse, otherwise toned and good fine to very fine; iii) L. Sulla and L. Manlius Torquatus, mint moving with Sulla in Italy, struck 82 BC, L MANLI PROQ, head of Roma right, wearing winged helmet, rev. Sulla driving slow quadriga right, Victoria flying left above, crowning him with wreath held in right hand, 3.88g (Crawford 367/5; RBW 1386; Sydenham 757), toned, struck on a slightly short flan with peripheral die-wear, otherwise good very fine
