A Selection of Greek Fractionals (4): i) Lucania, Herakleia, AR Diobol, head of Athena right, wearing crested Attic helmet ornamented with hippocamp, rev. Herakles wrestling the Nemean lion, 0.88g (HN Italy, 1379; van Keuren 53), somewhat worn, about very fine; ii) Calabria, Tarentum, AR Diobol, struck circa 325-280, head of Athena right, as before but no hippocamp, rev. as before, G between the legs of Herakles, 1.14g (Vlasto –. HN Italy 986), toned, very fine, rare with this reverse; iii) Thessaly, Larissa, AR Obol, struck c. 460-400 BC, horse trotting left, rev. the nymph Larissa standing right, balancing hydria on knee, to her left, a water fountain in the form of a lion's head spouting water, all within incuse square, 0.92g (BCD Thessaly II 361.3; HGC 4, 483), toned with slight die-wear, still near very fine; iv) Cilicia, Kelendris, AR Obol, struck c. 410-375 BC, forepart of Pegasos right, rev. goat kneeling right, head left, 0.75g (Göktürk 7; SNG BN 81–4; SNG Levante 27), lightly toned, obverse rather ganular, reverse very fine despite test cut; (4).
