Pywell-Phillips 269; ESC 1164 [S]; Bull 1564; S.3645), small die flaw to edge at 7 o'clock, toned in protected areas, good detail, lustrous, a scarce date, very fine; and 'South Sea Company' Shilling, 1723 SSC, first laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right, rev. crowned shields cruciform, six strings to harp, SS-C in angles commencing in second quarter, edge obliquely milled, 6.00g, 6h (Pywell-Phillips 275; ESC 1176; Bull 1586; S.3647), occasional small die flaws, otherwise lustrous and attractively toned, extremely fine; and another, 5.91g, 6h (Pywell-Phillips 275; ESC 1176; Bull 1586; S.3647), some bagmarking to the face, otherwise lustrous and with speckled toning, very fine; and Sixpence, 1723, second laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right, rev. crowned cruciform shields, SS-C in angles, five strings to harp, obliquely milled edge, 2.93g, 6h (Pywell-Phillips 282; ESC 1600; Bull 1612; S.3652), a touch of rub to the higher points, otherwise a bold example, very fine (4)
