MDCCCXL . •, upright torch dividing shields of Britain and Saxe-Coburg-Gotha, floral garland behind, plain silver band to edge, glass lunette to each face, 72.15g (Eimer 1336; BHM 1920), some minor scuffing and pinmarking to the obverse field, nevertheless with a full and pleasing matte silver surfaces, the lunette clear and unmarked, pleasing extremely fine, a charming and scarcely encountered medal, even more so with intact glass
