NOVR 9 TH 1837 THE RIGHT . HONORLE JOHN . COWAN . LORD . MAYOR, in exergue in five lines, plain edge, 62mm, 109.33g (Eimer 1303; BHM 1772), a handful of minor contact marks to otherwise glass-like brilliant and light brown fields, much as struck; Coronation of Victoria, AE Medal, 1838, by J. Barber, VICTORIA • QUEEN OF ENGLAND •, crowned and draped three-quarters bust facing left, holding sceptre, rev. Victoria beneath canopy leads a procession, supported by courtiers, CROWNED JUNE 28 1838 . in exergue in two lines, plain edge, 62mm, 111.39g (Eimer 1311; BHM 1803), minor contact marks to otherwise glass-like and brilliant fields, the surfaces a pleasing light brown, good extremely fine, both handsome examples of Barber's intricate engraving style (2)
