Colonies of Corinth, a Pair of Ambrakia Staters (2): i) c. 456-426 BC, Pegasos flying left, rev. head of Athena right, wearing Corinthian helmet, A behind, dancing satyr before (off-flan), 8.31g (Calciati 36; HGC 3.1, 203; Ravel 63 (A33/P42)), struck from worn dies, graffito to obverse, residually lustrous, good fine or thereabouts; ii) another, c. 404-360 BC, Pegasos flying right, rev. head of Athena left, wearing Corinthian helment, female standing left behind, holding kottabos pole, a softened legend to the edge, 7.85g (Ravel 106; Pegasi 68), worn to edges, but lightly toned and very fine (2).
