A collection of various cancellations comprising Avondale with 1918 (16 Dec.) blank before two figure yeardate in blue-black on 1½d. ochre; some irregular perfs. at top, A9 (unique). Ex Jelley, Filabusi including 1921 double-circle struck in blue on 1½d. and die IIIB 3d. black and yellow, 1/- black and blue-green and 5/- deep blue and pale yellowish green; a good group. F9 (very scarce); Mount Selinda group with 1917 (26 May) envelope from the American Board Mission to Boston, U.S.A. bearing ½d. and 1d. pair tied by single-circle datestamp with month, day and year inverted; circular Censor handstamp alongside, the reverse with Melsetter transit, M60 (2 recorded); Que Que group with 1923 (11 Dec.) two figure yeardate, a neat strike on 1922-24 4d. black and orange-vermilion, fine. Q7 (2 recorded); Sipolilo 1915-24 group of double-circle datestamps with good strikes on 1d., 1½d. (2) and 2d., S90 (rare); also 1924 a good strike in purple on 6d. jet-black and lilac, S91 (3 recorded), Umtali postmarks with 1915 (10 Dec.) single-circle on 1d. U14 (rare); 1920 (7 Aug.) large DCAJ strikes in pale turquoise on strip of three 1d., U21 (rare); 1920 (2 Sept.) a complete strike of the double-circle in blue on 1d. and 6d. on piece, U29 (very rare); double-circle in pale turquoise on 6d. and 2/- (2), U30 (very rare), Umvukwe double-circle (no dots) with 1914 (18 Oct.) on 1d. and 1915 (13 May) on die II 3d. black and orange-yellow, U33 (extremely rare); Bwanamkubwa includes 1913 (14 July) a well centred strike in blue-black on 4d. black and red-orange, die II; pulled perf at right, otherwise fine. A desirable stamp showing this date error, these stamps were issued on 11 September 1913. B13 variety (unique), generally fine and an interesting group with several rarities. (25)
