A group (4) comprising 1928 (May) postcard sent aboard the Paris to Akyab flight bearing KGV ½a. tied by 'calcutta' c.d.s. and with 'general de france/ consulat calcutta' cachet in violate to front and reverse and endorsed 'plane crashed at akyab/ 16th may, 1928' in red, signed on the reverse 'Greetings from Calcutta, Stephen H. Smith'; 1931 (13 Apr.) envelope sent aboard the experimental flight from Bombay to Goa by Major Craveiro Lopes bearing 1a. tied by 'bombay' c.d.s. and endorsed 'First Flight/ Bombay- Nova-Goa' at upper-right an with 'first air mail/ from bombay to/ portuguese india' cachet in violet; 1932 (5 Oct.) envelope flown from India to Saigon, endorsed 'by French Air Mail' at top and franked ½a. and 8a. tied by 'calcutta' c.d.s., and 1933 (7 Mar.) printed First Air Mail by K.L.M. (Dutch Service) from Karachi to Jask (Persia); a fine group of fascinating early Air Mail envelopes
