(x) South Africa, Republic, Pretoria Citizens' Service Medal 1914-1918, bronze medal, with coat of arms of Pretoria on the obverse, the reverse with legends in English and Afrikaans Pretoria Citizens' Service Medal Great War 1914-1918, very fine

The Pretoria City Council decided on 13 June 1919 to present a bronze medal to welcome and entertain all returning soldiers, nurses, sailors and airmen from the First World War. This medal was presented to each of them who attending the special civic ceremony at Burgerspark Pretoria on 4 August 1919.
