Sidney Buttress was born at Waterbeach, Cambridgeshire in 1891 and was a grocer when he enlisted in the Royal Garrison Artillery in 1915. He served in the 57th Siege Battery and is entitled to a Silver Wound Badge. Buttress died at Lincoln on 12 December 1964.

Stanley Buttress was born at Waterbeach, Cambridgeshire on 27 August 1895 and was a carpenter and joiner when he enlisted on 4 February 1916. This is his sole entitlement, and he later died at Waterbeach on 7 March 1976.
