Sidney Neve attested for the Royal Field Artillery and served with them during the Great War on the Western Front from 12 December 1915, subsequently being commissioned 2nd Lieutenant in the Royal Garrison Artillery and his Medals being issued to De Cham Avenue, St Leonards-on-Sea.
Rita Mary Neve was born on 1 June 1920 and enlisted as an Aircraftwoman Second Class in the Women’s Auxiliary Air Force on 16 September 1941. She was commissioned Assistant Section Officer on 22 August 1945, and finally relinquished her commission as a Flying Officer in the Technical Branch, Women’s Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, on 29 August 1955; sold together with a copied photograph of her Section and MOD RAF PMC Records, dated March 1984, which show she was posted to Bletchley for annual training in May 1951.
