S. Hartman is confirmed on the roll as serving as a Sub-Ganger on the Cape Government Railways. Further noted as Patrolling Line 143 - 133 miles on the Graaff Reinet line. Graaff-Reinet is a town in the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa. It is the oldest town in the province and the fifth oldest town in South Africa.
