Arnold Sanderson was born at Rotherhithe, Surrey in 1875 and attested at St. John's Wood on 30 December 1893. Posted to India with 'K' Battery on 7 December 1896 he remained there, being transferred to 'R' Battery in 1904, until 23 April 1906. Returning to Britain he was there for a little over a year before once again being posted to India in October 1907, remaining there for over 4 years. He was discharged on 30 March 1912.
