(x) Royal Canadian Mounted Police Long Service Medal, E.II.R. (J. Bell.), in its named card box of issue, nearly extremely fine, together with his St John Ambulance Association Medal, with clasps for 1957, 1959, 1960, 1962, 1965, reverse named 'DOC 24258 John Bell' (2)

John Bell was born at Vancouver in 1912 and joined the British Colombia Police in 1935. He remained in his posting during the Second World War and did not see military service, being transferred to the Highway Patrol unit in February 1946. Joining the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in 1950, he earned his Medal in 1950 and was made Corporal in 1963. Having added the Bronze Clasp in 1963, he was pensioned in December 1966 and died at Comox on 30 October 1987; sold together with Long Service Medal Certificate, besides various official letters and photographs.
