Charles Henry Boote was born at Stafford on 28 March 1887 and was a tailor prior to enlisting in the army. He listed his address as 82 North Bank Wall, Stafford, Staffordshire; sold together with copied research and seven original letters regarding the award of his Great War medals, two of the letters of congratulations from his Commanding Officer.
