The 1995 M.B.E. group of three attributed to Sergeant M. Maxted, Royal Logistic Corps, who was further commended for Op Granby
The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, Member's (M.B.E.) breast Badge, Military Division, silver; Nato Medal for Former Yugoslavia; U.N. Medal with riband for Former Yugoslavia, sold together with a quantity of certificates, paperwork and correspondence confirming the award, extremely fine (3)
M.B.E. London Gazette 17 June 1995.
M. Maxsted received a commendation for his contribution to Op Granby, a letter from Colonel R H Dadswell states:
‘Just a short note to say how delighted I was to hear that you have been awarded The Joint Commander-in-Chief’s Commendation for your contribution to the support of Operation GRANBY.
It is good to know that your driving skills and dedication have been recognised in this way.’
Around the same time he to be awarded the M.B.E. and received a letter from Major General D L Burden, congratulating him; sold together with a large amount of original documentation, including letters from Colonel Dadswell and Major General Burden, Army Patch, 2 training course reports and four qualification course certificates as well as a copied London Gazette extract.
