Robert John Brigden was born on 11 February 1906 at Worthing, Sussex and enlisted at Winchester on 27 June 1921. He was commissioned Lieutenant in the Indian Army on 13 July 1942, elevated to Captain on 8 November 1952 in the Royal Army Pay Corps. Brigden resigned his commission on 19 November 1959; sold together with copied research.
