Arthur Rees Greville was born at Barry Docks, Glamorgan in 1893, the son of Thomas James and Agnes Rees Greville, of 14 Albany Road, Pontycymmer, Glamorgan. Enlisting at Brigend he was posted to the 4th Battalion, South Wales Borderers and entered the war at Gallipoli on 19 July 1915. He was mortally wounded during the fighting for Hill 60 at Suvla Bay and invalided to Malta. Greville died there and is buried at Pieta Military Cemetery; sold together with copied research.
