Samuel Gibbon was born at Manchester on 27 January 1846 and enlisted on 9 June 1868. He spent the bulk of his service on Asia, apart from service for the Egypt campaign on Humber. Gibbon was shore pensioned on 14 January 1886; sold together with copied research.
