(x) Queen's South Africa 1899-1902, 2 clasps, Cape Colony, Orange Free State (1981 Cpl P. Morrison, Cheshire Regt), contact marks very fine

Philip Morrison was born at Macclesfield, Cheshire, and attested into the 4th Battalion Cheshire Regiment on 24 February 1891, he was promoted to Corporal on 13 June 1892 and joined the Militia Reserve on 5 July 1895. He rejoined the Militia and Militia Reserve on 10 July 1896 and was Embodied on 22 January 1900. Morrison was discharged on 23 February 1901, being listed on the medal roll as Sergeant and is further entitled to a South Africa 1901 clasp.
