Queen's South Africa 1899-1902, 2 clasps, Cape Colony, Relief of Ladysmith (99 Tpr: A. Adlard. S.A. Lt Horse.), a couple of light contact marks, otherwise very fine

Herbert Adlard was originally from England and enlisted into the South African Light Horse on 22 November 1899. He was wounded at Hussar Hill on 23 January 1900, and died of these wounds at Mooi River on 31 January 1900. Adlard is buried in the Bruntville, (Mooi) River Cemetery and the grave and headstone are still present.
