Queen's South Africa 1899-1902, no clasp (Mr. J. R. Whitecross. Imp: Mil: Rly:), small edge bruise, otherwise good very fine
J. R. Whitecross died of disease whilst serving as a Civilian Fitter with the Imperial Military Railways at Johannesburg on 29 March 1902. One hundred and seventeen men of the Imperial Military Railways died during the war. Vide The Register of the Anglo-Boer War.
