(x) Bank Melli, Iran, Consecutive pair of 50 Rials, ND (1944), serial numbers R816869-70,
the front of this consecutive pair features dark green on a violet underprint and Farsi text. To add to this, an image of a peacock is exhibited in the centre of the banknote. The peacock is an emblematic symbol in Iran, representing cultural heritage and the nation's royal prestige. To the left is the first portrait of Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi depicted in military uniform. Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi was the Shah of Iran from 1941 to 1979 and the last Iranian monarch. The backs are green and once again include Farsi text, along with an image of the Tomb of Cyrus the Great at Pasargadae. This image of Pasargadae serves as a powerful symbol of national pride, historical continuity, and cultural identity. These consecutive banknotes have a watermark of the Imperial Crown and are signed by Mohammad Ali Bamdad and Abdol Hossein Ebtehaj,
