(x) Bank Melli, Iran, Specimen 10 Rials, ND (1938) / AH1317, serial number ZH000000 18,
featuring three-quarters portrait of Reza Shah, the founder of the Pahlavi dynasty, depicted in a military uniform alongside Farsi text. The denomination is on the corners, all set against a vibrant palette of green, purple, and golden hues. The back displays an evocative image of the Alborz Mountains, which is home to the highest peak in the Middle East and holds immense cultural significance; reaching the summit is considered a prestigious accomplishment. The name of the bank, previously printed in French on the back of earlier issues, is not present.

This specimen banknote was printed by Thomas De La Rue and has the date, 6th July 1937 (6.7.37), handwritten at the bottom right on the front,

(Pick 33As, BNB 127as3), in PMG holder 53 NET About Uncirculated, printer´s annotations, previously mounted, staple holes, only 1 note in higher grades on PMG Census
