the front has been printed in a vibrant red with pale yellow, blue, green and purple hues. Central to this banknote is a portrait of Reza Shah, the founder of the Pahlavi dynasty, pictured wearing a Pahlavi hat. Farsi text appears on the front of the design as well as on the back.
