(x) Imperial Bank of Persia, pair of front and [Top Pop] back Colour Trial Specimen 1 Toman, 1st January 1896 / ND (1890-1923),
printed by Bradbury, Wilkinson & Co. The front colour trial specimen is dated 1st January 1896 and showcases a blend of colours which deviates from the pink and green tones of the issued notes. Similarly, the back colour trial specimen presents a striking blue colour instead of the typical green. A small perforated "CANCELLED" is present on both notes. While the first Qajar series by itself is rare, these colour trial specimens are extremely rare,
(Pick 1cts1, 1cts2, BNB 102), in PMG holder 62 Uncirculated, with only 1 note in higher grade at PMG Census (1), 63 Choice Uncirculated, single finest graded on PMG Census (1), (2 notes) rare!
