1927 imperforate plate proofs of the 4d. design in brown, two marked 'fixed ink' and two below marked 'fugitive ink', an example of each in both English and Afrikaans; the former examples with manuscript 'Fixed ink approved' and signed and dated '8/12/27', the fugitive ink examples each with an almost colourless line through the designs showing a streak of discolouration; all affixed to 'bradbury wilkinson & co. ltd.' printer's card; fine and very rare.
